Masala puri Bangalore style | chaat items | Masala poori

Street food are always famous irrespective of age right from small to elder one , they go crazy for chaat items ! I am no where exceptional ! i always talk about mumbai for street food ! i tasted infact i wrote about it ! i never knew bangalore is also famous for Street food !

Once i have been to bangalore never tasted any food as such ! So never knew their masala puri is famous and yummy ! Generally in chennai when u order masala puri they serve with chick peas gravy which i hate most ! i never ordered recently when i heard of this masala puri through my brothers wife ! i wanted to try !~ Readers its worth trying and taste is yummy ! Yummy ! yummy ! infact i reserved the Peas gravy  for my dosai ! so off to recipe !



Ingredients:
Recipe reference : sharmi passions
Puri ( mini) - 5 to 6
Green peas - 1 cup (soaked in water minimum 8 hrs)
Toor dal - 1/4 cup
Garlic tomato chutney - 2 tbsp for every plate ( u can use green chutney or pesto chutney)
   Garlic - 4 nos without skin
   Tomato - 1 no finely chopped
   Red chilly - 3 to 4  ~~~~ Grind it by adding required amt of salt 
Tomato - 1/2 finely chopped
Onion - 1 /2 finely chopped
sev - to temper
Coriander leaves - to  temper
Red chilly powder - 1tsp
salt - as required

To fry and grind 

Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 piece
cummin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Nut meg  - a pinch (small piece)
marathi moongu - 1 /2


Method: 

Pressure cook the green peas by adding the required amt of salt and keep aside , in mean while fry the item given under " TO fry and grind"

Again pressure cook the toor dal by adding the enough water once cooked keep aside. Now grind the fried items along with toor dal , red chilly powder , once grind ed add 1/2 cup of boiled peas and grind it and mass it !

Heat the tawa and add the grind ed item and pour the water with the required consistency ! once boiled adjust salt and add the rest of the boiled Green peas ! allow it to boil once boiled off the flame !

Take a cleaned plate and pour the broken  puri's add 2 tbsp of garlic tomato chutney , then pour the required amt of green peas gravy (i poured 2 times using my kuzhamby laddle).

Then add the chopped onion , tomato and sev, while serving add the chopped coriander leaves !

Note:

  • Instead of Tomato u can use carrot actual recipe calls for Carrot i am out stock so replace with tomato ! 
  • Actual recipe calls for Coconut which i didnt use ! but yet flavor-able one ! 
  • You should serve this masala puri hot ! so that the puri wll be soggy and tasty !
